Supplies Needed to make this Crayon Rubbing Pumpkin Patch Craft
pumpkin clip art printable white cardstock Laser Jet Printer (the kind that takes a toner cartridge) white printer paper orange crayon with paper removed scissors glue stick
Directions for this Crayon Rubbing Pumpkin Craft
1. Print off pumpkin clip art printable
Start by printing off the pumpkin clip art printable on white cardstock using a Laser Jet printer. The Laser Jet printer is better because the ink will leave the textured lines of the pumpkin for tracing. If you use a regular Ink Jet printer you probably won’t get those textured lines. Maybe I’m wrong though, I haven’t tried it. 😉
2. Cut out pumpinks and glue them onto cardstock paper
Cut out each of the pumpkins from the printable and glue them onto more cardstock paper. I only glued two pumpkins per page because I was worried my daughter would rub onto another pumpkin if they were too close. Grab some printer paper and an unwrapped orange crayon and your child is all set and ready to make their pumpkin patch craft.
3. Place white paper on top of your pumpkin and rub crayon all over it
Place your white paper on top of one of your pumpkins. Hold your unwrapped crayon vertical and rub the crayon all over the pumpkin. Your pumpkin should rub right through the paper.
4. Continue with different size pumpkins to make your crayon rubbing pumpkin patch craft
Continue placing different parts of your paper over the different sized pumpkins and rubbing them through to make your fun crayon rubbing pumpkin patch craft.
