Supplies you will need:

white heavy cardstock paper black, brown and orange cardstock paper 2 white cupcake liners jumbo craft stick glue stick tacky glue ribbon googly eyes buttons black hole punch circles

Directions:

1. Glue cupcake liners onto cardstock paper and cut out snowman

Start by gluing your cupcake liners onto a white heavy cardstock paper, making sure to overlap the circles slightly to make a snowman shape. Cut out your snowman. (Using the cupcake liners together with the heavy cardstock makes a sturdier puppet.)

2. Glue snowman onto craft stick

Put a generous amount of tacky glue half way down your jumbo craft stick and attach your snowman to the stick. Let it dry. I laid ours face down and put a book on top of them so they would dry flat. It only took about 30 min for the snowman to adhere to the stick.

3. Decorate your snowman

Decorate your snowman. Glue on googly eyes, your orange triangle nose, black hole punch circles for the mouth and buttons.

4. Make a scarf

Tie a piece of ribbon around the snowman to make a scarf. We made a double knot. This turned out to be great practice for tying for my preschooler. She was able to tie the knot herself with me guiding her. If the scarf pieces won’t stay down you can add a dot of hot glue to keep them down. (Adult supervision is required for the glue gun.)

5. Add arms

Finish your snowman by gluing brown stick arms to the back of it. My daughter didn’t want arms on hers so she left it without. That is the great thing about this craft… Everyone can make their snowman however they choose to make it their own.
